As soon as that interview finished, it was time for a meeting with Anne Sanders from Sainsbury's in Beeston, Anne has been great in sharing the news on facebook about Forever Stars but has now taken that a step further with the offer of a Forever Stars 'weekend' on April 26th & 27th. We'll be taking donations, promoting the charity and of course bag packing!
After meeting with Anne, Michelle and I were straight off to a meeting with Sam Pinkham from Gem 106, he has been amazingly supportive of Forever Stars, and the result of what was a fun filled hour long meeting was that Michelle and I have not only got one of Nottingham's most popular radio DJ's supporting us, we've also made friends with a really great family guy - a big thank you to Jo Sharp for introducing us to Sam (and everything else she is doing!).
But the day hadn't finished there...
We also received a call from the University of Nottingham, informing us that their security department had chosen Forever Stars as their nominated charity for the year! With two fundraising events already planned for later in the year!!
And the giving didn't stop there... Lynda Lally a lady who has already offered so much for Forever Stars called with another load of goodies for us to use for fundraising from Beeston Tesco, I don't know how much it is all worth in value but it is going to make a great contribution to the fundraising efforts!
As I write this, our new friend Mary Mann (Moo) has just facebook messaged me, with an update on her fundraising activities at the Mary Potter Health Centre in Nottingham. They are going to smash their own targets which is simply amazing but what really pulled my heart was the offer of a teddy bear for Emily, which says 'Someone loves you' Mary messaged me to say that Emily had touched hers and her colleagues hearts so much that they wanted us to have it and lay it with Emily. No words can respond to such a caring offer.
Another day finished, another day to cope with talking about our beautiful daughter and another evening preparing to go to sleep and imagine giving her a goodnight kiss, whilst touching her soft hair - miss you my little princess xx
