This was the problem Michelle and I had last night! After another busy day meeting people and looking at ideas on how to raise money and the increase the profile of Forever Stars, we though we'd spend some time with Finlay and then have a romantic meal just the two of us...
That was until we decided to put a few requests out on the Facebook page, the first being for help with designing and supplying the charity with some T-shirts ready for the numerous events and evenings that we are doing over the coming weeks, to which we have had some positive lines of enquiry but if you do know of anyone who can help, then please give us a shout!
The second request was to raise money via another weekend auction, this time we are offering people the chance to have six carpets professionally cleaned as well as have their oven cleaned by the professionals at www.justlikenu.co.uk, at the close of play yesterday we had £100 bid.
We also had a great donation for our gala dinner auction yesterday, Jon a good friend of the family gave us a signed England cricket bat from the team that beat Australia last year, a real piece of history to purchase at the dinner!
The trouble was by making these announcements on facebook, it meant that we opened up the flood gates for people to contact us. With quite a bit of delaying, we managed to respond to everyone and still enjoy a lovely dinner!
Whilst there is no direct relation to Valentines Day and Emily, it s still another occasion where you get that pang of 'what if' come over you in waves...
