Baby Loss Awareness Week (BLAW) takes place from 9th – 15th October 2024. The week, which takes place annually, aims to raise awareness of pregnancy and infant loss, and to support families impacted by baby loss. It also highlights the importance of bereavement support and the need to improve pregnancy outcomes and save babies’ lives.
As a charity that supports families who have experienced families impacted by baby loss, BLAW is a particularly important week for us to raise awareness of baby loss and the support and services we provide to those who have been affected.
During BLAW Forever Stars will be holding a variety of events to support families and raise money and awareness.

- Wednesday 9th October – Quiz Night
- Thursday 10th October – Cake Sale
- Friday 11th October – Pink & Blue Day & 26-mile fundraising walk
- Saturday 12th October – Siblings Workshops and Plant a Pink or Blue flower
- Sunday 13th October – Charity Shield
- Monday 14 th October – Make Lemonade Comedy Night
- Tuesday 15 th October – Wave of Light – light a candle at 7pm

Supporting Baby Loss Awareness Week
We’d love as many people and businesses as possible to get involved with BLAW. Here are some ways you can show your support and help raise awareness of baby loss:
- Share something on social media – a graphic or short post about BLAW is a great way to spread the word. The BLAW website has some great social media assets that you can easily download
- Take part in Pink & Blue Day – dress in pink and blue, decorate your office or workplace, arrange a cake sale, light up your building in pink and blue
- Take part in the Forever Stars 26-mile fundraising walk on Friday 11th October
- Make a donation to Forever Stars or other baby loss charities
- Come along to our Make Lemonade Comedy Night on 14th October
- Raise awareness of BLAW with your team or employees – we can provide an employer toolkit to help with this if needed
- Light a candle on Tuesday 15th October at 7pm for the Wave of Light
