Our Impact in 2025
We are proud to share our Forever Stars Impact Report 2026, reflecting on the difference our charity and our incredible community have made for families affected by baby loss.
This Impact Report is about much more than numbers. Behind every statistic is a volunteer giving their time, helping us to ensure families have somewhere to turn when they need it most.
Looking Back On An Incredible Year
2025 was one of the most impactful years in Forever Stars’ history.
During the year, more than 1,200 families were supported through our services, events, workshops and community networks. We delivered 66 workshops, provided 150 hours of professionally led play therapy for children affected by the loss of a sibling, and our wonderful volunteers gave 1,225 hours of their time.
Together, our community also raised an incredible £134,000.
Those funds have enabled us to continue investing in the services and spaces families rely on, including play therapy, workshops and family support sessions, Baby Loss Awareness Week, the Serenity Garden and our Serenity Suites.
These figures represent the families we’ve supported, children having a safe space to process their emotions, and people coming together so that families affected by baby loss know they do not have to face their grief alone.
A Community That Makes It Possible
Forever Stars has always been powered by people. Every contribution plays a part in allowing our work to continue.
In 2025, that commitment was recognised when Forever Stars received The King’s Award for Voluntary Service – the highest award given to local voluntary groups in the UK. For a charity run entirely by volunteers, it was an incredibly special moment and a reflection of the time and dedication given by so many people.
Our relationships with Nottingham’s business community have continued to grow too, creating new opportunities to raise awareness of baby loss and reach more people. We were also proud to have been selected as Nottingham City Business Club’s Charity of the Year for 2026.
Looking To The Future
2026 also marks an important milestone as we look back on ten years since the first Forever Stars Serenity Suite opened at Queen’s Medical Centre.
Since then, more than 2,600 families have spent precious time with their babies in our Serenity Suites. Our 2026 Decade of Serenity campaign aims to raise £50,000 to refurbish the original QMC suite, helping to protect this special space for families who will need it in the years ahead.
Thank You For Being Part Of Forever Stars
None of what you will read in our Impact Report would be possible without our volunteers and supporters,
Everyone who shares our message and helps us reach another family helps us make a real difference.
This report shows what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose, and the difference that support can make to families across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
We hope you will take time to read our Impact Report 2026, reflect on everything we have achieved together and join us as we continue to be there for families facing the los of a baby.
