Thinking of volunteering for Forever Stars?

The foundations of Forever Stars were established through the hard work and kindness of volunteers and as such we appreciate every single volunteering individual who kindly gives their time freely to help us in a variety of ways to support bereaved families following baby loss.

There are so many options for people to consider when volunteering for Forever Stars, some volunteers promote awareness of the work we do, some work on our Serenity Garden, some fundraise or sell merchandise, and others speak on our behalf or help at our events to raise much-needed funds.

Here's how volunteering with our charity works...

Over the years we have found that the key to a successful and positive volunteering experience lies in careful matching between the volunteer and the work they are asked to do. We will equip our volunteers with knowledge of what Forever Stars does as a charity and how they will fit and contribute to the work of the charity and the procedures that will drive their volunteering.

All of our volunteers will receive support, supervision and appreciation in their role and each person will have an identified point of contact within the charity.

Interested in volunteering? As a volunteer for Forever Stars, we only ask for a couple of commitments:

Turn up when you have agreed to, or if really can’t fulfil your commitment that you give us sufficient notice to allow us to make alternative arrangements.
You wear the appropriate branding for the event as given by Forever Stars. This could be a wristband, name badge, t-shirt or sometimes a combination of all three!
You will be acting as an ambassador for the charity, we, therefore, ask that you promote the work and activities of the charity in a positive way at all times.
You will treat co-volunteers, staff, trustees and supporters of Forever Stars, with respect regardless of their age, race, sex or physical disabilities.

But most importantly? we want you to commit to having fun whilst volunteering for Forever Stars.
