Why Forever Stars?
Forever Stars first came to Millward Consulting Engineers’ attention in 2025 through the Nottingham networking scene, where the team encountered the charity at several local events. With a Charity of the Year programme that deliberately rotates each year to spread support as widely as possible, the team knew they wanted their next partner to be an organisation making a genuine local impact.
Millward Consulting Engineers’ approach to charity selection is a collaborative one, and the whole team has a voice in the process. When Forever Stars was put forward, the response was clear. Learning more about the charity’s work and the difference it makes to families affected by baby loss resonated deeply across the business, and Forever Stars quickly emerged as the standout choice.

How Millward Consulting Engineers is Supporting Forever Stars
Millward Consulting Engineers’ approach to fundraising mirrors their ethos as a business: thoughtful, well-planned and spread consistently throughout the year rather than concentrated in a single push. Their programme of support for 2025/26 includes a range of activities that engage both their own team and the wider business community.
Easter Egg Collection
Millward Consulting Engineers kicked off their partnership with an internal Easter egg collection, with donations delivered to Forever Stars in time for their popular Easter Egg Hunt in April. A simple but meaningful gesture, it gave the whole team an early opportunity to get involved and connect with the charity’s calendar of events.
Charity Golf Day
The centrepiece of Millward Consulting Engineers’ fundraising year is a charity golf day taking place in June. The event is open to businesses across the industry, with team tickets available for organisations to take part alongside opportunities to sponsor individual holes. Tickets are being sold with a portion of each ticket price going directly to Forever Stars and Millward Consulting Engineers has committed to donating an additional £20 to the charity for every ticket purchased.
A raffle will also be hosted on the day to raise additional funds. The event is designed to do more than raise money – it’s an opportunity to bring the wider business community together and shine a spotlight on the important work Forever Stars does for families across the East Midlands.
“Events like this allow us not only to raise funds, but also to help promote the important work Forever Stars does while bringing the wider business community together in support of the charity.”
Volunteering at Forever Stars events
Beyond fundraising, Millward Consulting Engineers has also committed to supporting the Forever Stars team directly by volunteering at the charity’s own events throughout the year, rolling their sleeves up and getting involved in the day-to-day work of making those events a success.
More Than a Partnership
For Millward Consulting Engineers, the value of their relationship with Forever Stars goes well beyond fundraising totals. Getting to know the people behind the charity – particularly founder Richard Daniels, Michelle, and Julie – has been one of the most meaningful parts of the partnership.
Millward Consulting Engineers are clear that commercial benefit is not what drives their charity work: “We don’t choose our charity partners based on how they will benefit us; we choose to support charities because we want to help where we can.” Comments Jess. But through this partnership, they have found something genuinely rewarding – a connection to a cause and a community they are proud to be part of.
