Friday 11th October 2024
Join us on Friday 11th October 2024 for Pink & Blue Day as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th – 15th October). This special day isn’t just about fundraising; it’s about raising awareness of baby loss and showing support for the families who have been impacted.
Every year, Baby Loss Awareness Week highlights the need for improved bereavement support, better pregnancy outcomes, and saving babies’ lives. As a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by baby loss, Forever Stars invites businesses and individuals to come together on Pink & Blue Day to show support and spread awareness.
How you can show your support
There’s lots of ways you can show your support on Pink & Blue Day. Here are just a few ways that you can help raise awareness:
1. Change your logo
Show your support by temporarily changing your business logo to pink and blue for the day. Display it on your website, social media, and emails to help raise awareness of baby loss.
2. Hold a cake sale
Organise a cake sale at your workplace, school, or community. Invite your friends, colleagues, or neighbours to enjoy some sweet treats while raising awareness and funds for families impacted by baby loss. Bonus points if you bake some pink and blue cakes!
3. Light up in pink & blue
If your business or community building has exterior lighting, consider lighting it up in pink and blue for the day. It’s a powerful and visible sign of support.
4. Dress in pink & blue
Encourage your employees, friends, or even customers to wear pink and blue on 11th October. It’s a simple way to spark conversations and spread the message of baby loss awareness.
5. Change your email footer or Teams/Zoom background
For the day, you can change your email footer or Teams background to reflect Pink & Blue Day. Our Pink & Blue Day Toolkit has everything you need to allow you to easily do this.
6. Organise a pink & blue activity
Organise a fun pink and blue-themed coffee break, or plan a fundraising activity with your friends or employees. Whether it’s a quiz, a skydive, or a pink and blue fuddle, it’s a great way to bring people together for the cause.
7. Get involved in the Forever Stars 26-mile walk
Join us in raising awareness and funds by taking part in our 26-mile walk, happening on Pink & Blue Day. Sign up with your friends, family, or colleagues and walk to show your support.
8. Share on social media
Help us spread the word by sharing posts on your social media channels. Highlight your participation in Pink & Blue Day, and don’t forget to tag Forever Stars and use the hashtag #PinkAndBlueDay24. We’d love to see your photos!
9. Create a pink & blue display
If you own a shop or run a community space, consider creating a pink and blue display in your window or common area. Show your customers or clients that you stand with families affected by baby loss.
